Classical Camp

Presented by Virtues Academy, Classical Camp is a weeklong summer day camp designed to help families discover the joy of a Christ-centered and classical education. Over the course of four mornings, campers will learn about goodness, truth, and beauty through engaging activities for the body, mind, and soul.
What is Classical Camp?
Registration is open to children from ages 4–10, or Pre-K through 5th Grade. We intend to keep the content as accessible as possible for all campers, but we trust that parents will decide whether their younger children are ready for Classical Camp.
Who is it for?
Classical Camp is Monday, July 24 through Thursday, July 27, from 9 AM to noon each day. The camp is hosted at Awaken Church, located at 296 West 4th Avenue in Columbus.
When and where is it?
What does the daily schedule look like?
Each three-hour day of camp will focus on a different theme: Day 1 is Goodness, Day 2 is Truth, Day 3 is Beauty, and Day 4 is the harmony of all three. These values will be reinforced through fun, age-appropriate activities in music, reading, writing, art, math, science, gymnastic (physical education), and more. On Thursday, at the end of camp, we’ll invite parents to join us for lunch and share more info about Virtues Academy.

How much does it cost?
Virtues Academy is a brand new classical Christian school launching in 2024. One of the challenges with starting a school like ours is that most families don’t know much about classical Christian education. We’re sponsoring Classical Camp as a way to help families sample this wonderful model and introduce them to our school in a fun way.
